Which Stainless Steel Chain Is Better for Saltwater?

SS316 is generally the stronger candidate when choosing between 304 and 316 stainless steel chain for saltwater or coastal exposure, but “better” does not mean universally suitable. Surface terms such as polished, bright, matte, cleaned or passivated should not be used as interchangeable descriptions.
